Veterinary Receptionist

Details:
- Location: Corringham, Essex
- Part Time: 16 hours, 2 days a week
- Shifts: Between Monday and Thursday, 10:30 am - 7 pm, and every other Saturday, 9 am - 1 pm

Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare the practice for opening and closing, managing tills, card machines, alarms, voicemail, and systems
- Handle emergency appointments, contacting clients to reschedule if needed
- Manage the practice diary to optimize appointment scheduling
- Ensure online appointment booking is available for clients
- Greet clients, update records, and carry out reception duties
- Process repeat prescription requests
- Promote the Medivet Healthcare Plan and assist clients with sign-up
- Keep online practice information current, including hours and staff details
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent client-facing and reception skills
- Experience working in a team and building positive relationships
- Strong client care skills, remaining calm under pressure and being diplomatic
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload
- Good numeracy skills for handling payments
- Experience with online appointment systems
- Administrative experience
- Trustworthy and responsible
Desirable:
- Veterinary receptionist experience
- Social media and website content management
