Youth Support Workers in Charge

<p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Youth Support Worker in Charge <br><strong>Salary Range:</strong> £29,644 pa progressing to £33,066 pa (pro rata for part time)<br><strong>Hours: </strong>Part Time (18.5 hours per week) which includes four 2.5hour evenings during term time with flexible daytime hours and additional hours often available.<br><strong>Job Location: </strong>North Herts <br><strong>Contract Type: </strong>Permanent<br><strong>Directorate:</strong> Childrens Services</p><p><strong>Do you have what it takes to help young people develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in life? </strong></p><p><strong>Take your youth work experience to the next level and lead a team that’s giving young people the support they need as they transition to adulthood.</strong></p><p>Managing a small team of 4-5 Youth Support Workers and Volunteers, you will plan, deliver and evaluate a range of curriculum-based groupwork projects as well as working one-to-one with vulnerable and at-risk young people aged 11 to 17 to help improve their future prospects.</p><p>Part of the role will require you to handle safeguarding issues and health and safety, whilst addressing service users’ needs and helping them overcome the specific challenges they face.</p><p>We’re looking for people who have experience of youth work (in a paid or voluntary capacity) and are ready for the next step in their career.</p><p>Having good IT, record keeping, organisational and planning skills is crucial for this role, along the ability to forge relationships with a range of partner organisations.</p><p>Along with one of the most rewarding roles in HCC Children’s Services, you can expect ongoing training and development and a comprehensive benefits scheme including access to a national pension scheme with generous employer contributions, a whole host of discounts and wellbeing support.</p><p><strong>Questions?
