A dynamic, multi-disciplinary financial services company based in Umhlanga New Town Centre is looking for an experienced Wealth Administrator to join their team.

The company provides a full spectrum of wealth management and financial advisory services to high-net-worth clients, including investments, retirement products, risk, medical aid, short-term insurance, tax and fiduciary services.

This is not a general administration role. Applicants must have previous wealth / financial planning administration experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in wealth / financial services administration, preferably within an independent financial advisory or wealth management environment
  • Hands-on experience with LISPs and risk products
  • Experience administering investment products including RAs, unit trusts and related wealth products
  • Comfortable liaising directly with product providers via telephone and email
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Strong time management, accuracy and administrative skills
  • Elite Wealth experience would be a major advantage
  • Experience with other financial planning software such as Xplan or AtWork will also be considered
  • Advantageous qualifications include RE5, Finance Diploma/Higher Certificate or NQF Level 6+

Key Responsibilities

  • New business administration, including broker appointments and client onboarding
  • Processing onshore and offshore new business
  • Liaising with investment and product providers
  • Portfolio servicing and maintenance, including switches, withdrawals, additions and transfers
  • Loading and maintaining client information on relevant systems
  • Managing client communication and providing feedback on service requests
  • Obtaining statements and documentation for client reviews
  • Assisting with preparation and administration of client reviews
  • Monitoring client portfolios and ensuring ongoing administrative requirements, income top-ups and fee requirements are kept up to date
  • General administration supporting Financial Advisors and their clients

Package & Conditions

  • Salary: Dependent on relevant experience
  • Initial 12-month contract
  • Discretionary annual bonus, paid in March
  • Working hours: 08:00 – 16:30
  • Medical aid/hospital plan required unless already a dependant on another medical aid; company contributes R1 000 per month
  • Company-paid Rapid ID emergency identification service
  • 21 days’ annual leave
  • Offices close between Christmas and New Year (days form part of annual leave allocation)
