Warehouse Worker – School Leavers Welcome

This warehouse role is a practical entry point into the logistics and supply chain industry, one of South Africa's growth sectors. You'll gain hands-on experience in a structured, industrial environment where reliability and hard work are valued and rewarded. The multiple locations across Gauteng mean you'll be exposed to different operations and meet professionals in the field. Over time, you'll understand how inventory, distribution, and warehouse systems work – knowledge that opens doors to supervisory roles, driver positions, or stock controller jobs. You'll also develop physical stamina, time management, and teamwork habits that employers respect in any industry. After 12–18 months in this role, you could progress to a Senior Warehouse Assistant or Stock Controller position with better pay and less physical demand. With strong performance and interest in logistics, consider pursuing a learnership in Supply Chain Management through a SETA programme or enrolling in an NQF Level 3 Warehousing and Logistics qualification. Many operators move into forklift operation (requires a specific certification), supervisor roles, or transport coordination. Some use this foundation to study further towards logistics management or even start their own transport or supply business. Tailor your CV to highlight any school projects, sports, or community work that shows reliability and teamwork – employers want to see character, not just qualifications. Mention your matric certificate and any relevant first aid or safety training. Include references from teachers, coaches, or community leaders who can vouch for your punctuality and work ethic. If you've done any work-integrated learning (WIL) or learnership, include those details. Avoid spelling errors and keep your CV to one page. Be clear about your availability for shifts and overtime – this role values commitment. Don't claim experience you don't have; honesty about being a school leaver is an advantage here. Join a South African warehouse operation as a general warehouse worker. You'll handle stock, operate in a fast-paced industrial environment across multiple locations in Gauteng, and support the team with physical duties including lifting and packing. This role offers competitive hourly pay and flexible shifts including overtime and weekend work.
