Position: Restaurant Waiter/Bartender

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Restaurant Waiter/Bartender to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, taking food and beverage orders, preparing and serving drinks, and ensuring guests enjoy a pleasant dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Present menus, take food and beverage orders, and provide recommendations when required.

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established standards.

Serve food and drinks promptly and accurately.

Handle customer payments and process cash and card transactions.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, bar area, and service stations.

Monitor customer satisfaction and address concerns professionally.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations.

Restock bar supplies, beverages, and other inventory as needed.

Assist with opening and closing duties.

Requirements

Previous experience as a waiter, bartender, or in a similar hospitality role is advantageous.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong customer service orientation.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Good cash handling and basic numeracy skills.

Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.

Matric (Grade 12) preferred.
