We’re hiring a Virtual Assistant - People Operations to work closely with and support our People Operations Lead across recruitment, HR administration, internal systems, and team coordination. This is a high-trust, highly organized support role for someone who enjoys being close to the center of a growing company. You’ll help keep hiring processes moving, candidate communication professional, internal people systems clean, and key People Ops priorities on track.

You’ll often be the first impression candidates have of RemodelBoom, so we’re looking for someone energetic, people-focused, and genuinely warm - someone who brings a “human sunshine” presence while also being structured, reliable, and highly detail-oriented. This role blends recruitment, executive-style coordination, HR support, and operational administration. It requires someone who is confident on video calls, highly organized, comfortable working inside systems, and excited to play a supporting role within the People Operations team.

Key Responsibilities

People Operations Support

Support the People Operations Lead with day-to-day coordination, follow-ups, priorities, and admin

Help keep recruitment, onboarding, HR, and team-related projects organized and moving forward

Track important deadlines, probation periods, hiring milestones, and internal people-related tasks

Help bring order, clarity, and follow-through to a fast-moving people function Recruitment & Candidate Experience

Create and post job listings, and proactively source candidates

Conduct outreach via LinkedIn and email

Screen applications and conduct initial interviews via video calls

Coordinate and schedule interviews across time zones

Maintain clean, structured applicant tracking dashboards

Ensure timely, warm, and professional communication throughout the hiring process

Create a polished and positive candidate experience from first contact through final decision HR & Administration

Support onboarding and offboarding processes

Maintain accurate employee records and documentation

Assist with contracts, probation tracking, and HR administration

Keep internal people documentation organized and up to date

Support operational follow-through on HR and recruitment tasks Systems & Tools

Quickly learn and confidently use tools such as Airtable, GHL, Zapier, and other project management software

Keep databases, trackers, and internal dashboards accurate and up to date

Help refine recruitment and People Ops workflows over time

Look for ways to make processes cleaner, faster, and more scalable Signals This Will Be a Great Fit

You’ll likely thrive in this role if you have:

Excellent written and spoken English

Experience in a people-facing role, ideally recruitment, HR, or executive support

Confidence speaking clearly and professionally on video calls

Strong administrative experience and supreme organization skills

Experience using project management, CRM, or internal operations tools

High attention to detail and pride in clean systems A proactive mindset and the ability to follow through without needing constant reminders

Comfort supporting a fast-moving leader and helping turn ideas into organized action Pay & Schedule

Pay: R40,000 - R45,000 per month

Hours: 12pm - 8pm South African time, Monday to Friday

Location: Fully remote
