Job Requisition ID 12973 Closing Date OME EOP: Secunda Operations Location Purpose of Job Provide technical support to maintenance managers, engineers and foremen with respect to control system and instrumentation technology operation and maintenance. Key Accountabilities Ensure that work standards are met according to quality, quantity and due dates. Achieving delivery targets (e.g. services; BU and Discipline Specific). Ensures that self and team meet targets, due dates and quality standards project schedules. Ensure that work standards are met according to quality standards & compliance. Optimises and control resources effectively. Independently gather information and data accumulation. Awareness, focus and control of cost / budget. Achieve safety and risk objectives. Apply safety in all practices, specifically project planning and execution. Understand the company vision and values. Demonstrate the desired behaviours in agreement with the Sasol Values. Take ownership for personal improvement and skills development. Ensure that personal development plan is completed, implemented and tracked. Apply the learning experience at the workplace. Agree and review personal performance goals and the achievement thereof. Set and work towards own performance targets and goals as per personal performance agreement. Effectively manage the MOC process, registration, documentation, execution, administration and closure. Develop and / or revision of plant maintenance philosophies and related strategies, task lists, checklists for equipment maintenance based on FMEA study in own area of responsibility. Follow formal approach of RCA investigation using established methodology, reporting and feedback. Develop suitable technical proposals based on practical and theoretical knowledge. Build customer relationships in order to understand their needs. Demonstrates good understanding of customer needs. Project a positive image of the department. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with managers and peers. Build effective partnerships with team to ensure high performance. Provide technical input or advice to multi-disciplinary project teams. Demonstrate effective listening and communication skills when dealing with colleagues. Improve present way of doing work by continuously asking questions. Identify optimisation opportunities. Provide formal report indicating corrective actions or improvements required to address equipment or system reliability, safety or performance concern. Formal Education Matric/N3 with Maths, English & Physical Science National Diploma in Instrumentation & Controls Engineering Working Experience 3+ relevant years of experience in heavy process industries. Good understanding and knowledge of plant field equipment, control and safety systems (DCS, alarming, safety shutdown, PLC, etc).
