Technical Analyst – Microsoft Endpoint Management & Security

Location: Remote – South Africa

About the Role

Maple Networks is seeking a Technical Analyst to support enterprise customers by managing Microsoft endpoint technologies, maintaining endpoint security, and ensuring reliable software deployment and vulnerability remediation. This role is ideal for someone with experience in SCCM/MECM, Microsoft Intune, PowerShell, and Windows environments who is looking to grow their career in Microsoft Endpoint Management and Cyber Security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) and Microsoft Intune.
  • Manage endpoint configuration, software deployments, Windows updates, patch compliance, and device management.
  • Perform SCCM infrastructure health checks and troubleshoot deployment and patching issues.
  • Support vulnerability remediation using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) and Patch My PC.
  • Provide first and second-line customer support, incident triage, and ITSM ticket management.
  • Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus (CE+), CREST, and ITIL standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes through PowerShell automation.

Essential Skills

  • 1-3 year's experience with SCCM/MECM.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Vulnerability Management, and Secure Score.
  • Basic SQL knowledge and familiarity with ITSM platforms.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and customer communication skills.

Desirable Skills

  • PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Advanced SQL and reporting (SSRS or Power BI).
  • Patch My PC, PSADT, Windows Autopilot, and application packaging.
  • Experience with co-managed SCCM/Intune environments.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and cybersecurity best practices.
