This single-minded purpose is why we exist, and what continues to drive and inspire us 30+ years later.</p><p><br></p><p>We are looking for talented Teaching Assistants who are fun, dynamic and passionate about all things education and that enjoy working with people – students, lecturers and staff to join various teams across our fast-growing company.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Job Summary </u> </strong></p><p>This is a part time role and could provide you an excellent opportunity to support our lecturers and enhance the learning journeys of talented Red & Yellow students on the BCOM & BBA programmes, specifically in the Modules for Business Management. This is a hybrid position, in which you will be required to spend certain scheduled times at our campus in Cape Town. </p><p><br></p><p>You will be required to work closely with the lecturers in the Programme Coordinator and lecturing team in the BCom & BBA faculty to maintain, develop and grow Red & Yellow's respected programme offering. This position will require a commitment from the successful candidate from 13 July 2026 - 20 November 2026. The hour commitment will be approximately 16 hours per week - exact times & dates TBC. </p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities and Duties: </u></strong></p><p>This position will require, but is not limited, to the following activities:</p><ul><li>Assisting the module lecturer with facilitating contact and distance delivery of module material</li><li>Guided lecturing and conducting tutorials in accordance with the requirements of the programme outcomes and in accordance with the accredited programme outlines;</li><li>The tutoring of 2/3 of modules per semester (depending on class size);</li><li>Planning lesson planning, tutorial content and marking tutorials, activities and formative assessments;</li><li>Provide student support for contact and distance learning;</li><li>Participate in the monitoring & evaluation of the academic programme, including attendance and maintenance of student records;</li><li>Conduct marking and participate in the moderation processes;</li><li>Use your network of industry or academic professionals to support offer students and offer practical and real-world exposure </li><li>Utilize your experience in employability or student placement exposure for internship purposes</li><li>Attend regular meetings with respective lecturer, faculty meetings and general staff meetings;</li><li>Ensure both hard and electronic filing of all required documentation, including tracking and reporting on at-risk students;</li><li>Adhere to centralised policies and procedures that ensure outstanding quality and unquestionable integrity of all academic programmes that are offered;</li><li>Attend relevant marketing activities for the school (i.e. Open days etc.)</li></ul><p><br></p><p> <strong><u>Qualifications and Experience:</u></strong></p><ul><li>A Business-related degree and/or currently enrolled in an Honours in the BCom General degree with a focus in Business, Marketing or a related disciplines</li><li>Experience in facilitating student learning, engagement and activities via respective LMS platform (Moodle) would be highly advantageous</li><li>Commitment to excellence in teaching and to providing the highest quality experience for students</li><li>Tech savvy</li><li>Ability to achieve deadlines</li><li>Attention to detail</li><li>Experience in conducting research, conducting evaluations and handling confidential documents with discretion</li><li>The ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty members, and staff</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Desirable Skills & Attributes:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Excellent administrative abilities </li><li>Meticulous attention to detail </li><li>Excellent English, written and verbal communication skills - with a specific focus on both academic writing skills and using plain English masterfully </li><li>Excellent verbal communication skills</li><li>Demonstrated leadership skills </li><li>Professionalism, patience and kindness.
