Superintendent Chrome and Base Metals Sales
Requirements Valid driver’s license. Clear security screening record. Medically fit to work in the specific business area
At least 5 years’ experience in a financial/reporting position within a mining environment.
Experience in bulk logistics preferable
NQF 7 (Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma) in Finance, Management Accounting or Logistics.
Key Responsibilities Sales Operations
Reconcile opening balance, produced, sold, and closing balances at various locations in supply chain monthly.
Monitor SRPM tons at Kroondal and include into relevant stock recons for SRPM.
Manage and monitor sales, stock and costs submitted by Arxo.
Arrange, execute, and report stock surveys at various locations in the supply chain monthly and resolve any issues.
Evaluate and mitigate stock losses at various locations in the supply chain.
Compile and update bi-monthly stock projection report.
Highlight and suggest mitigation for any operational constraints (production, logistics, unrest, etc.) that may prevent meeting contractual obligations
Contract tracking for Long Term Agreements and finalisation of pricing calculations using disport results
Support Manager to draft and improve standard operating procedures for the department Finance
Compile and submit month-end cost and Marikana sales reports, including Arxo.
Assist Manager to formulate and monitor production budgets for the department
Analyse the department costs and prepare monthly journals to allocate to the relevant general ledger account.
Confirm that all final invoices are captured and finalised in the correct period.
Capture all provisional sale invoices, and reverse when final invoices are captured. Create and update sales and provision file.
Approve all sales calculations for provisional and final invoices for nickel and copper.
Reconcile Marikana sales reports from the different plants to invoices issued.
Monitor credit limits and collection of receivables and escalate non-payments
Assist manager with calculation of profit share and issuing of the invoice. Create and confirm stockpile journals based on survey results.
Assist manager to calculate and update deferred chrome consideration
Assist manager to upload forex journals and payments
Interact with internal and external audit on all requirements
Maintain and evaluate SOX controls for completeness and effective controls
Compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, and subsequent reporting Stakeholder & Supplier Relations
Daily communication with production and logistics suppliers on the day-to-day operations and understanding stock positions at all locations
Inform warehouse personnel of any variations between theoretical and physical stock levels
Understand market dynamics with service providers and continuously benchmark prices and services
Maintain good customer relationships–through understanding and reviewing contracts/amendments, price confirmation, provision of indemnity forms, regular check ins.
Financial control and governance in line with Group standards and local statutory requirements.
Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure seamless integration of the supplier process.
