The Department of Finance is currently seeking dedicated individuals for the role of State Accountant: Asset and Inventory Management in the Capricorn District, specifically in Polokwane, as well as in the Waterberg District, located in Modimolle. What You’ll Do- Register and maintain an up-to-date asset register for the department
- Update and manage inventory lists to reflect accurate information
- Conduct disposal processes for obsolete and redundant assets
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Assist in reporting and documentation related to asset management
- National Senior Certificate or an equivalent qualification
- Appropriate qualification (NQF 6) in Finance or related field recognized by SAQA
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar or related field
- Valid Driver’s Licence (not applicable for people with disabilities)
- Strong understanding of the legislative framework governing public service and financial management
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
