This is a senior specialist role responsible for leading and delivering strategic blockchain and digital asset initiatives across the Group. The successful candidate will bring deep domain expertise and a proven track record of delivering complex digital asset solutions within a regulated financial services environment. Working closely with senior business leaders, product owners, technology teams, risk and compliance functions, legal stakeholders, and regulators, the individual will play a leading role in shaping and executing the Group's digital asset strategy.  The role requires an experienced professional capable of identifying, developing, and driving digital asset opportunities from concept through to implementation, while providing thought leadership and practical guidance across the full product lifecycle. The successful candidate will be expected to operate with a high degree of independence, influence senior stakeholders, navigate regulatory complexity, and provide specialist expertise.

  • First Degree in Business Commerce, Finance, Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in financial services, payments, technology, digital assets, or a related industry, with significant exposure to strategy, product development, and delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and delivering digital asset initiatives within a regulated banking, financial services, or fintech environment.
  • Deep understanding of digital asset ecosystems, including custody models, wallets, tokenisation frameworks, digital asset market infrastructure, settlement processes, and regulatory considerations.
  • Advanced expertise in blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies, including smart contracts, token standards, interoperability, and enterprise-scale platform implementation.
  • Proven ability to engage, influence, and align senior stakeholders across business, risk, legal, compliance, technology, operations, and regulatory bodies.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess opportunities, develop business cases, and translate emerging market developments into practical and scalable solutions.
  • Experience working with regulators and industry working groups.
