This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who has developed a strong background within an accounting firm and is confident managing both accounting and taxation functions for a diverse client portfolio.<br><br><strong>POSITION INFO:<br><br></strong>Key Responsibilities Manage a full accounting and tax portfolio. Produce monthly management reports. Perform the full accounting function through to trial balance. Draft annual financial statements for companies, trusts, and sole proprietors using CaseWare. Provide advice on accounting and taxation matters. Prepare and submit income tax returns for individuals and companies. Prepare and submit VAT returns for sole proprietors, companies, and trusts. Manage all SARS correspondence and queries. Submit notices of objection and suspension of debt applications via eFiling. Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations and statutory requirements. Build and maintain strong client relationships. Travel to client sites when required. Maintain professional conduct and service excellence at all times. Job Experience and Skills Required Accounting Degree or Higher Diploma (non-negotiable). Completed Articles. Affiliations with SAICA, SAIPA, ACCA, CIMA, or SAIBA will be advantageous. Strong working knowledge of CaseWare and Pastel. Experience with SARS eFiling. 3-5 years' experience within an accounting firm environment. Strong tax compliance and financial reporting experience. Own reliable vehicle. Valid driver's licence (non-negotiable). Competency Requirements Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Professional communication and client engagement skills. Strong organisational and time-management abilities. Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
