Role Details

Gold Fields is seeking a Senior Specialist Group Reporting to be based at the corporate office in Sandton. This role will be responsible for preparation of financial reporting at group level for a dual-listed, multinational mining company, ensuring full compliance with IFRS and consistent application of group accounting policies across global operations. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise and the ability to work across diverse jurisdictions in a dynamic corporate environment.

About the role:

Group Reporting: Prepare the Group Annual Financial Reports for dual-listings, including XBRL filings;

Quarterly and monthly reporting: Assist in preparation of consolidated monthly and quarterly reporting for key stakeholders;

Financial consolidations: Preparation of Group Consolidated Condensed Financial Statements monthly, including preparation of consolidation entries;

IFRS compliance: Ensure compliance with IFRS and consistent application of group accounting policies across global operations, including implementation of new IFRS standards;

JSE and SEC compliance Ensure compliance with JSE listing requirements, SEC filing requirements and regulatory disclosures;

Subsidiary support: Provide technical accounting support to subsidiary financial managers and assist with resolution of technical queries;

Technical Reporting: Assist with preparation of IFRS technical accounting papers for Audit Committee submissions;

Statutory financial statements: Preparation of Annual Financial Reports for subsidiary companies, including iXBRL filings;

Corporate Accounting: Assist with preparation of monthly reporting for corporate entities.

About you:

CA(SA) qualification or equivalent, with strong technical accounting expertise;

Minimum 2 - 5 years’ experience in consolidated reporting at corporate level;

Completed articles with the Big 4 audit firms is a distinct advantage;

Advanced understanding of mining operations across the value stream;

Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate effectively in cross-functional environments; and

Strong understanding of group reporting requirements and IFRS compliance.
