Senior Service Sales Specialist

A leading global technology and engineering organization is seeking a Senior Service Sales Specialist to drive profitable service growth across Sub-Saharan Africa. This role focuses on expanding service business opportunities, strengthening customer relationships, and delivering value-added solutions that enhance operational performance and reliability.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive service sales growth across assigned Sub-Saharan African countries.
  • Expand installed base penetration through upgrades, retrofits, modernization projects, maintenance agreements, and digital services.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market analysis, customer engagement, and industry insights.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with end users and support the development of channel partnerships.
  • Collaborate with regional and local teams to deliver customer-focused service solutions.
  • Manage sales pipelines, forecasts, and opportunities using CRM systems.
  • Negotiate and secure service agreements and long-term service projects.
  • Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events, and conferences across the region.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in service sales, solution selling, value-based selling, or business development within an industrial environment.
  • Proven track record selling technical services and solutions across Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Experience within industries such as Mining, Oil & Gas, Cement, Metals & Minerals, Utilities, or Heavy Industry.
  • Strong commercial, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Valid driver's license and passport.
  • Fluency in English and either French or Portuguese is advantageous.
  • Additional qualifications in Business, Sales, or Marketing would be beneficial.
