We are headhunting an outstanding Senior Safari Sales Consultant for an exciting international boutique safari business specialising in bespoke luxury adventure safaris across Southern and East Africa.

This is not just another travel sales role.

We are looking for someone who doesn’t simply sell Africa — you know it, you have travelled it, you love it, and you know how to bring it alive for a client.

You understand that a truly exceptional safari is about far more than booking accommodation and transfers. It is about listening to a client’s dreams, understanding what matters to them, and turning a high-level idea into a seamless, unforgettable trip of a lifetime.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in direct FIT safari sales, exceptional destination knowledge, a natural ability to connect with discerning international travellers, and the commercial confidence to convert enquiries into high-value bookings.

The Opportunity

You will work with international FIT clients looking for carefully curated, bespoke safari experiences across Southern and East Africa.

Your role will combine consultative sales, relationship building, destination expertise and detailed itinerary execution.

You will take clients from the initial enquiry and discovery conversation through to creating and coordinating a highly personalised safari experience, ensuring every detail reflects an exceptional standard of service.

This is a remote, home-office-based opportunity for someone who works well independently, takes ownership, enjoys being part of a dynamic international team and genuinely cares about delivering world-class travel experiences.

Desired Experience & Qualification

The successful candidate will ideally have:
  • A minimum of 4 years’ direct FIT safari sales experience
  • A proven track record selling bespoke luxury safari experiences
  • Excellent working knowledge of Southern and East Africa
  • Personal travel experience across key safari, wilderness and adventure destinations
  • Experience selling directly to international travellers
  • The ability to engage confidently with discerning, high-value clients
  • Strong commercial instincts and a proven ability to achieve sales targets
  • Experience creating and executing complex, tailor-made itineraries
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to outstanding service
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • The ability to work independently with initiative, reliability and accountability
  • A warm, confident and engaging personality
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong general technology skills and confidence adopting new systems
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Salesforce experience would be advantageous
  • An additional European language would be a strong advantage
  • Relevant travel or tourism qualifications would be beneficial, although not essential

Who Will Thrive in This Role?

You are someone who is:

  • Passionate about Africa, wildlife, adventure and meaningful travel
  • Naturally strong with people and relationship building
  • Commercially driven without losing the personal touch
  • Highly organised and structured
  • Calm under pressure
  • Comfortable working towards goals and sales targets

  • Detail-driven and committed to getting things right
  • Excited by technology and open to new ways of working
