Senior Exploration/Resource Geologist (Contract)

Are you an experienced Exploration or Resource Geologist with a passion for gold exploration and ore grade evaluation? Have you successfully assessed greenfields projects, validated geological data and delivered technical due diligence reports? If you're ready for an exciting international contract assignment, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

An experienced geological consultant is sought to undertake an independent due diligence assessment for a proposed gold mining project in East Africa. You'll evaluate historical exploration data, verify ore grades through field investigations and sampling, assess the project's geological potential and deliver detailed technical recommendations to support strategic investment decisions.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • BSc in Geology (Honours or postgraduate qualification advantageous), with 10–15+ years' gold exploration and resource geology experience.
  • Proven expertise in ore grade evaluation, greenfields exploration, geological due diligence, QA/QC procedures and resource estimation.
  • Strong background in gold mining, geological mapping, core logging, sampling programmes and technical report writing.
  • Experience working on exploration projects within Africa and the ability to travel internationally to remote project locations at short notice.
  • Professional, independent and analytical, with excellent communication skills, a valid passport and driver's licence, and the ability to work effectively in challenging field environments.
