Senior Delivery Consultant

Job ID: 94337
    Johannesburg

Do you want to do work that matters, alongside supportive leaders who will help you grow faster than you ever thought possible? Are you a creative problem-solver who is energized by challenges? You’ve come to the right place.

YOUR IMPACT

As the Senior Delivery Consultant, you will manage workstreams largely independently, with the support of a project manager. As you gain experience, you will gradually assume responsibility for delivering parts of projects yourself.

A key part of your role will be to implement business transformation and digital transformation programmes mainly into the mining, banking or telco sectors, ensuring long term impact delivery. You will lead junior consultants and clients in your project or workstream and successfully hold client meetings and workshops to achieve the project's objectives. In addition, you will grow in a stimulating and human environment where quality of life at work is important.

You will be based in our Johannesburg office as part of Orphoz, working closely and in partnership with client's senior management and their specialist departments.

As a subsidiary of McKinsey & Company, Orphoz offers a unique combination of experience, knowledge, network resources, and flexibility. Within our collaborative community, we deliver business transformation including restructuring, turnaround, post-merger implementation, and more. We realize strategy and execute it with our clients. Orphoz integrates the skills, approach, corporate culture, and resources that lead to the success of complex transformation projects and is ideally positioned to smoothly implement strategies designed by McKinsey & Company.

Orphoz helps our leading private sector clients achieve one of their biggest challenges: making their business transformation plans really happen. Our day-to-day work is to support large companies who need to adapt their operating models to the accelerated changes in their environment by combining agility, sustainable efficiency, and employee engagement. Overall, we exist to deliver a lasting impact to our clients.

With Orphoz, you can expect a uniquely varied and exciting working environment, as well as the opportunity to work with a talented and dynamic growing team. We plan and deliver change projects together with our clients, helping them capture their full potential. We know what determines the success of large projects and what can ensure lasting implementation success. We combine strategic and operational project management with strong execution skills and an understanding of the specific demands of each industry. We measure our success by achieving the goals we set together with our clients.

YOUR GROWTH

Driving lasting impact and building long-term capabilities with our clients is not easy work. You are the kind of person who thrives in a high performance/high reward culture - doing hard things, picking yourself up when you stumble, and having the resilience to try another way forward.

In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities you need to become a stronger leader faster than you ever thought possible. Your colleagues—at all levels—will invest deeply in your development, just as much as they invest in delivering exceptional results for clients. Every day, you'll receive apprenticeship, coaching, and exposure that will accelerate your growth in ways you won’t find anywhere else.

When you join us, you will have:

  • Continuous learning: Our learning and apprenticeship culture, backed by structured programs, is all about helping you grow while creating an environment where feedback is clear, actionable, and focused on your development. The real magic happens when you take the input from others to heart and embrace the fast-paced learning experience, owning your journey.

You’ll make a tangible impact by offering innovative ideas and practical solutions, all while upholding our unwavering commitment to ethics and integrity. We not only encourage diverse perspectives, but they are critical in driving us toward the best possible outcomes.
  • Global community: With colleagues across 65+ countries and over 100 different nationalities, our firm’s diversity fuels creativity and helps us come up with the best solutions for our clients. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from exceptional colleagues with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
