Senior Data Management Analyst (EDM Implementation & Delivery)

Job Summary Partners with business stakeholders to implement Enterprise Data Management (EDM) capabilities that improve the quality, understanding, governance and control of data across the organisation. The role is responsible for analysing business requirements, identifying and defining suitable EDM solutions, and facilitating implementation across business, technology and data management stakeholders. Through a use case-driven approach, the role helps business areas translate data management requirements into practical outcomes using capabilities such as metadata management, data quality management, reference data management and data governance. The role plays a critical part in ensuring EDM capabilities are implemented consistently, deliver business value, support regulatory requirements and continuously evolve through feedback and lessons learnt from real-world implementation. Job Description Business Requirements & Use Case Analysis Engage with business stakeholders to understand data-related challenges, regulatory requirements and business objectives. Facilitate discovery workshops and requirements gathering sessions for data management use cases. Analyse business processes, data flows, controls and governance requirements to determine the appropriate EDM capability coverage. Translate business requirements into structured implementation requirements covering metadata, data quality, reference data, master data and governance capabilities. Assist business stakeholders in defining use case scope, business outcomes, success measures and implementation priorities. Identify capability gaps, implementation risks, dependencies and required stakeholder participation. EDM Capability Implementation & Delivery Support business areas in implementing EDM capabilities in accordance with enterprise standards, operating models and implementation guidance. Coordinate execution activities across business stakeholders, EDM capability teams, platform teams and technical resources. Assist in the definition and implementation of business glossaries, data quality rules, lineage requirements, reference data controls and governance processes. Track implementation progress, actions, risks, dependencies and delivery milestones. Support testing, validation and implementation activities where required. Ensure implementation activities align to agreed scope, objectives and business outcomes. Stakeholder Engagement & Facilitation Facilitate working sessions between business, technology and data management stakeholders to drive alignment, decision-making and execution. Support Data Owners, Data Stewards and business representatives in defining requirements, implementation approaches and delivery priorities. Drive issue resolution discussions and ensure actions are assigned and progressed appropriately. Build strong relationships across business and technology teams to support successful implementation outcomes. Escalate delivery risks, decisions and implementation blockers where required. Communicate implementation progress and outcomes to a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders. Capability Adoption & Enablement Guide business teams through the EDM adoption process, including onboarding, planning and execution activities. Support users in applying EDM standards, templates, processes and tooling effectively. Contribute to the development of implementation guides, playbooks, training materials and supporting documentation. Facilitate adoption workshops, training sessions and community engagements where required. Help measure and report on capability adoption, implementation progress and realised business value. Capability Requirements & Continuous Improvement Identify and analyse data management requirements arising from business initiatives, regulatory obligations and operational challenges. Translate business needs into structured requirements for EDM capabilities, processes, standards and tooling. Capture new capability requirements, enhancement opportunities and implementation feedback identified during use case delivery. Facilitate discussions between business stakeholders, capability teams and technical teams to refine, validate and prioritise requirements. Document implementation patterns, lessons learnt and recommendations to support the ongoing evolution of EDM capabilities. Contribute to the continuous improvement of data management standards, processes, controls and enabling technologies through practical implementation experience. Implementation Support & Delivery Coordination Coordinate implementation activities across business stakeholders, EDM capability teams, platform teams and technical resources. Track requirements, actions, decisions, dependencies and implementation progress across assigned use cases. Facilitate resolution of delivery issues, requirement clarifications and implementation challenges. Maintain implementation documentation, including requirements, action logs, decision registers and delivery artefacts. Support testing, validation and readiness activities to ensure agreed requirements have been implemented. Capture lessons learnt, implementation challenges and improvement opportunities identified during delivery. Governance, Compliance & Delivery Reporting Support business teams in implementing data management controls and practices in alignment with enterprise standards and policies. Assist with the documentation of compliance requirements, control expectations and implementation evidence required for use cases. Prepare implementation status updates, action logs, risk registers and governance reporting materials. Track implementation risks, issues and remediation activities and ensure appropriate escalation where required. Provide updates and implementation insights into governance and working group forums. Maintain traceability between business requirements, implementation activities and delivered outcomes. Ability to analyse and document business processes, data flows and control requirements. Ability to coordinate delivery activities across business, technology and data management stakeholders. Strong analytical, problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. Ability to document requirements, implementation approaches, governance artefacts and process flows. Understanding of metadata management, data quality management, reference data management and governance frameworks advantageous. Ability to identify implementation risks, dependencies and opportunities for continuous improvement. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with Agile, project delivery and change management methodologies advantageous.
