Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Turn complex data into meaningful insights and help drive smarter business decisions. We are looking for an experienced Senior BI Analyst to join our team and play a key role in transforming complex business data into meaningful insights that support strategic, commercial and operational decision-making. This role is ideal for an analytical and commercially minded professional who can combine strong technical BI expertise with excellent stakeholder engagement and a genuine passion for using data to solve business problems. Responsibilities: Design, develop and maintain dashboards, reports and BI solutions aligned to business requirements.Translate business needs and questions into clear analytical, reporting and data requirements.Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, data models and BI solutions using large and complex datasets.Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, opportunities, risks and key performance drivers.Conduct detailed and root-cause analysis to support strategic, commercial and operational decision-making.Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for business stakeholders.Develop predictive and trend-based analysis where appropriate to support business planning and performance management.Ensure BI outputs are accurate, consistent, reliable and fit for purpose.Establish and maintain reporting standards, KPI definitions, business metrics and BI best practices.Qualifications and experience: A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in information systems, computer science, data science, business analytics, statistics, mathematics, finance, economics or a related quantitative discipline.5+ years' experience in business intelligence, data analytics, business analysis or a related field.Proven experience developing enterprise-level BI reports, dashboards and analytical solutions.Advanced SQL skills, with strong experience working with relational databases, complex queries and data modelling.Strong experience working with large and complex datasets, with the ability to identify trends, patterns, risks and business opportunities.Strong data visualisation and dashboard development skills, with experience using a leading BI platform such as Power BI, Tableau or Qlik.The reference number for this position is NG61501 which is a permanent, Hybrid role offering a salary of up to R800k per annum salary negotiable based on experience.
