Quote Specialist Area; Lydenburg Salary;R10 000 - R15 000 neg Working Hours - 7am - 16h30 Monday to Friday Brief description of the vacancy Our client is seeking a driven, organised and highly accurate Quote Specialist to manage customer RFQs and prepare competitive, profitable quotations within required deadlines. The successful candidate must be fast-paced, detail-oriented, commercially minded and solution-driven , with the ability to manage multiple quotations and priorities independently. The role requires sourcing products, obtaining and negotiating supplier pricing, checking technical specifications, calculating costs and margins, preparing professional quotations and actively following up opportunities. We are looking for someone who takes full ownership of their quotation workload , performs well under pressure and understands that the goal is not simply to send quotes, but to help convert quotations into profitable orders. Experience Required 3- 5 years in a Quote, Sales support role Previous exp in mining, engineering, industrial supply or the construction industry. Previous exp prepareing high volume quotes Experience sourcing products and obtaining competitive supplier pricing . Experience with pumps, valves, motors, bearings, steel, piping, tools, PPE and general mining/industrial equipment would be advantageous. Experience calculating cost prices, markup, gross profit (GP), transport and additional costs . Experience comparing supplier quotations, specifications, availability and lead times. Experience working with sales representatives, buyers, suppliers and customers Proven ability to manage multiple urgent RFQs and deadlines simultaneously. Experience following up quotations and assisting with quote-to-order conversion. Strong understanding of purchase orders, delivery requirements and general supply-chain processes. Experience in a fast-paced mining supply environment would be strongly preferred.
