Sales Development Representative Manager - SaaS Sales (Hybrid)

<span><p>About the Role:<br>We are looking for an SDR Manager based in South Africa to lead our outbound sales development function. You'll start by taking ownership of our existing offshore outbound team, running a leaderboard-led playbook that has already proven highly effective - and from there, you'll build out a new, locally based South African team that you'll manage. </p><p>This is a hybrid build-and-run role. You'll inherit a working offshore team and a proven outbound motion on day one, while also being responsible for hiring, training, and growing a local team around you over time. We want someone who leads by doing personally, testing, and proving out new outbound approaches before rolling them out to the wider team as it scales. </p><p>About the Company<br>Our client is an established international technology company that develops innovative cloud-based software solutions for businesses. With a strong presence across global markets, they are recognised for delivering high-quality solutions, fostering innovation, and maintaining a collaborative culture where employees are encouraged to grow and make a meaningful impact. </p><p>What You'll Own: </p><ul><li>Manage our existing offshore outbound team day to day, including target-setting, performance tracking, and pipeline accountability</li><li>Build out a new, locally based SDR team in South Africa over time - owning hiring, onboarding, and in-person management as the team grows</li><li>Take full ownership of our leaderboard playbook - a data-driven outbound motion combining LinkedIn social selling and email sequencing that has already proven successful at scale</li><li>Act as the lead SDR yourself in the early stages: personally test new outbound approaches, signals, and messaging, prove what works, and roll proven plays out as your local team comes online</li><li>Audit the current SDR process end-to-end and identify where to optimise - tooling, sequencing, data quality, targeting, and team workflow</li><li>Own outbound signals strategy - intent data (G2, HubSpot buyer intent), job-change triggers, keyword monitoring - to build smarter, more targeted outreach</li><li>Manage cadences and sequencing across email and LinkedIn, balancing high-volume outreach with manually personalised, high-value sequences</li><li>Manage inbound demand from Customer Success and Marketing for data and analysis from your team</li><li>Report on team performance, pipeline contribution, and experiment results to sales leadership</li><li>Own and evolve onboarding, training, and documentation as the team grows</li></ul><p>What You'll Inherit :<br>A working, proven outbound motion, and the systems behind it, including: </p><ul><li>LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Lemlist (email sequencing), Linked Helper (data scraping)</li><li>HubSpot (marketing automation, intent signals, email), G2 (intent data), Apify (data scraping)</li><li>Chili Piper (meeting scheduling), Canva, Notion (team knowledge hub), Google Workspace</li><li>A documented end-to-end process for the current playbook, plus training materials to fast-track ramp-up</li></ul><p>What We're Looking For: </p><ul><li>4+ years of experience in an SDR, BDR, or sales development capacity, with meaningful time in a leadership, team lead, or player-coach position</li><li>Strong personal outbound skills - you need to be excellent at SDR work yourself before you can build and coach a team around it</li><li>Proven track record of cold calling, email prospecting, and multi-channel outbound campaigns - working against clear KPIs and generating pipeline consistently</li><li>Experience selling to or prospecting into Marketing leaders (CMOs, VPs of Marketing, Demand Generation) and/or Sales and Revenue leaders</li><li>Experience within Martech, sales tech, or a closely adjacent B2B SaaS category strongly preferred</li><li>A background in (or strong exposure to) outbound-first organisations where outbound rigour and process are taken seriously - e.g. Salesloft, Apollo, Outreach, or similar</li><li>Significant team leadership or management experience - given the scope of building a local team from the ground up, this carries more weight here than in a pure IC-to-manager transition</li><li>Experience leading or mentoring SDR teams - coaching performance, building outbound strategy, and remaining hands-on with prospecting while developing others</li><li>Strong experience working with complex datasets and data enrichment tooling - e.g. Clay or equivalent</li><li>Deep familiarity with modern outbound methodologies, AI-assisted outbound workflows, and dialers</li><li>High energy, articulate, coachable, resilient, and commercially minded</li><li>A self-starter who can take the reins of an existing team, build something new alongside it, and scale both</li></ul><p>***Salary will be totally open for the right candidate (Negotiable, based on skills, experience and in relation to current package)</p><img src="" width="0px" height="0px" style="display:none"></span><p><span><strong>Desired Skills: </strong></span></p><ul><li>Skills Development</li></ul>
