<h3><strong>About Richards Bay Coal Terminal</strong></h3> <p>The Richards Bay Coal Terminal (RBCT) is the largest coal export facility in Africa and one of the largest in the world, located at the deep-sea Port of Richards Bay in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.</p> <h3><strong>Apprenticeships Description</strong></h3> <p>RBCT is looking for Millwright Apprentices to contribute to RBCT’s performance goals by ensuring that the plant in his/her responsibility area is safe, reliable, available, and operates as per the required design philosophy; and managing and leading a professional group that enhances cost-effective continuous improvement in performance.</p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>• Commit to and successfully complete the 4 years apprenticeship as required by the Company/SETA;</li> <li>• Ensure continuous optimization of plant processes, as well as process equipment and system;</li> <li>• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and legislation;</li> <li>• Develop machine-specific technical competence.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Minimum Requirements</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Matric with Mathematics, Physical Science and English or Matric with Technical Mathematics, Technical Science and English, or NCV NQF Level 4 or N3.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Skills</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Good learning orientation as well as the ability to apply acquired knowledge; ability to work on your own and in a team environment; physically fit, physically strong, with good hand/eye coordination; no fear of heights.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Behavioural Traits</strong></h3> <p>Professionalism, taking initiative, decisiveness and effectiveness under pressure.</p>
