Remote Fleet Manager - Logistics Coordination

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and proactive Remote Fleet Manager to oversee and coordinate logistics operations from a distance. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing a fleet of vehicles, optimizing delivery routes, ensuring driver compliance, and maintaining operational efficiency across various locations. You will leverage technology and communication to provide strategic oversight and support to the driving teams, ensuring seamless execution of transport services. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, a deep understanding of logistics management, and the ability to lead and motivate a team remotely, contributing to the company's success through effective, remote-based coordination and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities Manage and monitor the performance of the company's vehicle fleet, ensuring optimal utilization and maintenance schedules. Develop and implement efficient delivery routes and logistics plans to meet service level agreements. Oversee driver schedules, assignments, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Utilize fleet management software and telematics to track vehicle location, driver behavior, and operational efficiency. Coordinate with sales, operations, and customer service teams to address logistical challenges and ensure customer satisfaction. Analyze fleet data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction initiatives. Requirements Proven experience in fleet management or logistics coordination, with a significant portion in a remote capacity. Strong understanding of transportation regulations, safety standards, and fleet maintenance practices. Proficiency with fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and other relevant technologies. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make informed decisions. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
