Registered Nurse

Work Location: In person - Johannesburg, South Africa

POSITION OVERVIEW A specialised Hair and Trichology Clinic in Johannesburg is seeking to appoint a professional and patient-centred Registered Nurse to join its clinical team. This role is suited to a qualified nurse who is confident in delivering high standards of clinical care within a structured, multidisciplinary private practice environment.

The successful candidate will support patient care delivery, assist with clinical procedures, monitor treatment processes, and contribute to a safe, efficient, and patient-focused clinical experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide professional nursing care and clinical support to patients within the clinic
  • Prepare patients for consultations, assessments, and treatment procedures
  • Assist medical practitioners and the broader clinical team with treatment delivery and clinical interventions
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures where required
  • Take and record vital signs, medical history information, and relevant clinical observations
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and legally compliant patient records
  • Ensure infection prevention, hygiene, sterilisation, and clinical safety standards are consistently upheld
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, aftercare, scalp and hair health protocols, and general wellness guidance within scope
  • Manage clinical stock, consumables, and treatment room readiness
  • Support the clinic in maintaining quality care standards and operational efficiency
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Qualification as a Registered Nurse
  • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
  • Proven clinical nursing experience, preferably in a private practice, outpatient, or specialised clinical setting
  • Sound knowledge of nursing protocols, patient care standards, and infection control
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient engagement skills
  • High levels of professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical environment
PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES
  • Experience in dermatology, aesthetics, wellness, or specialised treatment environments
  • Interest in hair restoration, scalp health, and patient wellness
  • Ability to support a premium patient experience through professional and attentive care
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple clinical priorities effectively
