Red Ember Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Regional Sales Manager specializing in Tyre Distribution and Retail for their client (This is a regional role, and we are looking for suitable candidates all over South Africa).

The Regional Sales Manager operates as a high‑impact territory sales specialist, responsible for expanding the retail and wholesale footprint across the tyre and fitment industry. This role focuses on personally developing new business, strengthening key customer relationships, and driving regional growth in an industry experiencing strong upward momentum.

 

This position is ideal for an individual with tyre retail and wholesale experience who excels in relationship‑driven selling and is passionate about regional market development.







Requirements

Key Responsibilities
Grow the regional sales footprint by identifying, pursuing, and closing new retail and wholesale opportunities.
Build strong, long-term relationships with tyre fitment centres, fleet operators, independent retailers, wholesalers, and commercial customers.
Drive sales execution aligned with evolving market trends, including digital fitment solutions, rising mobility demand, and growth in the logistics and mining sectors.
Promote value-added fitment centre offerings and support the expansion of regional service capabilities.
Analyse competitor activity, pricing trends, and advancements in tyre technology (including EV-ready and smart tyres).
Conduct territory planning, manage a sales pipeline, and provide accurate forecasting and reporting.
Represent the brand professionally at customer visits, industry events, and supplier engagements.

Industry and Market Knowledge
Strong understanding of tyre retail and fitment centre operations.
Insights into market shifts, including sustainability trends, local manufacturing investment, and franchise expansion.
Technical understanding of tyre categories, performance characteristics, and regulatory standards.
Solid commercial sales experience across B2B and B2C channels.
Understanding of pricing, margin dynamics, and territory-based forecasting.

Qualifications and Experience
Matric
BCom Degree or studying toward a relevant Business Degree or Diploma
Minimum 10+ years sales experience, ideally with 5+ years in tyre retail, wholesale, or fitment
Proven track record in territory growth and key account management
Strong understanding of the South African automotive and tyre sector

Skills and Competencies
Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
High energy, driven, and resilient – with a strong hunter mentality.
Professional communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong problem-solving and commercial reasoning.
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Bilingual ability is advantageous.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
