We are seeking a highly experienced Project Leader with a strong background in the automotive SaaS industry, including CRM, chatbot solutions, proactive lead management, AI SEO automation, and search & social media syndication.

The ideal candidate has successfully led projects involving CRM and customer engagement platforms within the automotive sector, including solutions for lead generation, customer lifecycle management, marketing automation, and AI-driven sales optimization. Experience working with dealerships, dealer groups, and automotive marketplaces is essential.

The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and delivering high-impact SaaS implementations while engaging senior decision-makers such as dealership owners, general managers, and heads of marketing or digital transformation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead end-to-end project execution for SaaS implementations across automotive clients in South Africa.
  • Coordinate internal teams (sales, technical, onboarding, customer success) to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, expectation management, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Drive project planning, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Oversee onboarding and implementation of CRM, AI/LLM tools, chatbot solutions, and marketing automation systems.
  • Ensure successful adoption and long-term client satisfaction and retention.
  • Conduct on-site client visits, presentations, and business reviews when required.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to support pre-sales activities, including solution design and client consultations.
  • Monitor project performance, KPIs, and delivery metrics.
  • Maintain detailed CRM and project documentation, including progress tracking and reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and account growth within existing client base.

Stay current with trends in:

  • Automotive CRM and digital retail
  • AI-driven marketing and sales tools
  • Lead management and customer lifecycle automation
  • Dealership digital transformation

Contribute to company growth and expansion within the South African automotive SaaS market.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Proven experience in SaaS project management or delivery within the automotive industry (mandatory).
  • Strong background working with CRM systems, customer engagement platforms, and AI-driven solutions.
  • Experience managing complex B2B projects with multiple stakeholders.

Solid understanding of:

  • CRM systems and integrations
  • Marketing automation platforms
  • AI/LLM and chatbot technologies
  • Candidates must have AI certification from Anthropic (Claude) or equivalent accreditation institutions, demonstrating practical experience in developing with COWORK, AGENTS, SKILLS, LLM, workflows, automations, or other AI solutions. Link for the required courses or equivalent
  • SaaS delivery models and cloud platforms
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to engage with C-level executives and operational teams.

  • Experience with CRM tools and project management software.
  • Highly performance-driven with strong attention to detail and delivery excellence.
  • Excellent spoken and written English (mandatory).

LOCATION & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
  • Must have own vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel to client sites including dealerships and corporate offices.

For remote engagements:

  • Minimum 50 Mbps upload & download internet speed
