Principal Geotechnical Engineer (Open Pit & Underground)

De Beers and other major operators offer NQF-aligned professional development programmes, and many engineers pursue ECSA Registration as a Professional Engineer, which opens doors to consulting or independent practice. A few years of solid experience here positions you for international mining roles across Africa and beyond. Tailor your CV to highlight specific geotechnical projects—include software you've used (FLAC, Slide, etc.), types of slopes or excavations you've designed, and any field experience.
