Job Advert Summary Woolworths is seeking a Planner for In Store Bakery and Gluten Free based at our Cape Town Head Office. You will contribute to category strategy, develop long-term tactical plans, and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years FMCG or planning experience, strong analytical skills, and a relevant commercial or retail qualification. Flexibility for travel and weekend work is needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years of FMCG / planning experience
  • Stores’ experience would be an advantage
  • Retail or business-related tertiary qualification or FMT Planning Graduate would be an advantage
  • Relevant Commercial / Retail degree
  • Valid driver’s license advantageous
  • Should be flexible to travel and may be required to work weekends where necessary
  • Computer literacy and competent excel skills
  • Long Life & Fresh planning experience would be an advantage
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Optimise profitability through effective management of a set of KPI’s through effective analysis and reporting.
  • Contribute to the Department / Category Strategy with a specific focus on planning objectives andrequirements.
  • Using Data Analytics, identify opportunities for improvements and provide intelligence to matrix team,supply chain and value chain
  • Monitor and track against the plan
  • Participate and provide input into range and display to maximize trading opportunities
  • Provide input in development of Long Term Tactical plans and supply management
  • Build and develop relationships with all key stakeholders (internal and external)
