JOB SUMMARY The PA-Apprentice helps the Pharmacist/Pharmacy Manager in front operations (cashiering, dispensing and customer service) and back operations functions (stock management and other retail processes) appropriate to their level. He/She is expected to serve customers in Fast, Accurate, Convenient, Informative and Personalized Service following the standard processes and procedures (i.e.

Dispensing

Guidelines, Service and Selling Standards) and refer any questions regarding prescriptions, drug information, or health matters to the pharmacist.

ROLE

  • Delivers the sales target based on the selling plan of Pharmacist/Pharmacy Manager.
  • Implements appropriate selling technique to maximize sales (WTBIM, Watsons Generics, Thematic, etc)
  • Strictly adheres to the Company Dispensing Guidelines, Cashiering Guidelines and other related processes and procedures on health products (in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Dispensing Practices & Health Promotion)
  • Practices good housekeeping, cleans and organizes stocks in his/her area of assignment , maintain cleanliness and orderliness of pharmacy dispensing area, bio ref, and other fixtures.
  • Replenishes and maintains security of merchandise and reports immediately to the pharmacist on duty any suspected internal/external theft.
  • Monitors shelf-life, record expiry dates and adheres to inventory guidelines First Expiry, First Out (FEFO) to lessen expiry inventories and display merchandise accordingly.
  • Arranges and displays merchandise according to Display Guidelines and Plan-o-gram
  • Ensures correct and complete processing of sales transactions (products, receipt, cash and non-cash)
  • Completes all required competency certifications and training/learning interventions to continuosly build and improve basic,

common and core -functional (technical and soft skills) competencies for Pharmacy Services NC III.

  • Exercises discretion and confidentiality with all employees and patient information.
  • Strictly adheres company policies and procedures
