Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Cold Calling & Lead Generation Representative role based in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area. The Representative will focus on outbound calling to potential customers, resellers, distributors, and retail partners to introduce Green Foods International products and generate qualified leads.

Day-to-day tasks include researching prospects, building and updating contact lists, conducting cold calls, and capturing accurate information in CRM or tracking tools. The role involves following scripts and product information, handling basic inquiries, scheduling follow-up calls or meetings for the sales team, and sharing feedback from prospects to improve outreach strategies. The Representative will collaborate closely with sales and marketing colleagues, maintain consistent call volumes, and support lead nurturing activities to help grow the customer base.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including clear telephone etiquette and the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Experience or comfort with cold calling, lead generation, telesales, or inside sales activities.
  • Basic proficiency with CRM systems or spreadsheets for tracking calls, leads, and follow-ups.
  • Ability to research potential customers, qualify leads, and follow structured outreach processes.
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time and call volumes effectively.
  • Interest in health foods, wellness products, or the FMCG sector is beneficial.
  • Matric/High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in sales, customer service, or call center environments is an advantage.
  • Comfort working on-site in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area and collaborating with a small, growing team.
