Duties & Responsibilities

  • What You’ll Do

    As part of our expanding team, you’ll:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to international learners.
     
  • Motivate and guide students with positive reinforcement and feedback.
     
  • Maintain high teaching standards and consistently meet weekly teaching goals.
     
  • Work independently while demonstrating professionalism and responsibility.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Minimum Requirements

  • 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate (mandatory)
     
  • Police clearance certificate (required)
     
  • Bachelor’s Degree (advantageous but not required)
     
  • Prior online tutoring experience (preferred)
     
  • Strong English skills (accent neutral)
     
  • Excellent communication and computer literacy
     
  • Ability to teach a minimum of 40 hours per week
     
  • Goal- and target-oriented mindset
     
  • Committed to flexible working weekends, public holidays, and over December & January

Working Hours & Technical Requirements

Working Hours

  • Full-time, home-based
  • Daily availability from 2 PM to 10 PM (SA Time)
  • Peak teaching hours: 4 PM – 10 PM

Technical Requirements

  • Laptop/PC with:
     
    • Intel ® Core™ i5 CPU @ 2.4GHz or higher
       
    • 8GB RAM or higher
       
  • Internet: Uncapped fiber connection, minimum 10 Mbps (upload & download), LAN connected (not Wi-Fi)
     
  • Power backup: UPS with 4–5 hour battery life (2000VA)
     
  • Headset: Noise-cancelling with microphone (plus backup recommended)
     
  • Webcam: HD quality
     
  • Dedicated, quiet, and well-lit teaching environment
