We are looking for experienced and detail-oriented Medical Coders to join our team on a permanent work-from-home basis. We are seeking candidates with strong knowledge of medical coding, clinical documentation, and coding guidelines who can accurately code healthcare services while maintaining high standards for quality, productivity, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes based on medical documentation and applicable coding guidelines.

• Review medical records to ensure accurate and complete coding.

• Code outpatient, professional, facility, and specialty-specific encounters as assigned.

• Identify and resolve coding errors, claim edits, and documentation discrepancies.

• Research and assist with coding-related denials and appeals.

• Maintain established productivity and accuracy standards.

• Follow current coding guidelines, payer requirements, compliance policies, and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with clinical, billing, and other healthcare teams when clarification is required.

• Protect patient information and maintain strict HIPAA compliance.

• Stay current with coding updates, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience as a Medical Coder.

• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.

• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical documentation.

• Experience with EMR/EHR systems and coding or encoder software.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage productivity in a fully remote environment.

• Reliable internet connection and a suitable dedicated home workspace.

• Professional coding certification such as CPC, CCS, CCA, or equivalent is preferred.
