Job Advert Summary

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the engineering maintenance team to achieve operational objectives. Ensure the effective execution of planned, preventative, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities. Drive equipment reliability and availability through root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate plant shutdown planning, execution, and post-mortem reviews. Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards. Manage maintenance budgets, control costs, and optimise resource utilisation. Provide technical leadership and support to maintenance teams and contractors. Implement and enhance maintenance strategies and systems to improve plant performance. Develop, coach, and manage employee performance and training

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree (BSc/BEng/BTech) in Mechanical Engineering
  • GCC Factories will be advantageous.
  • Registration with ECSA as Pr Eng, Pr Tech Eng, Pr Cert Eng, or Pr Eng Techni will be advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Experience managing engineering maintenance activities within a production environment.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with maintenance management systems.

  • Strong technical knowledge of maintenance strategies, root cause analysis, safety management, quality management, and continuous improvement.
  • Proven leadership and people management capability.
  • Budgeting and cost control experience.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to drive operational excellence and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Advanced MS Office proficiency and ERP system knowledge.
