Are you a creative and driven individual ready to make a real impact? We are looking for a passionate Events Marketing Intern to join our team in Midrand, South Africa.

What will the programme look like?

The Events Marketing Intern will support the planning, coordination, execution, and reporting of Sage marketing events and campaigns. This role provides hands-on experience in event marketing, project management, digital marketing, stakeholder engagement, and lead generation initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the marketing, sales, partner, and customer success teams to deliver exceptional event experiences that drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Summary of the Role

Event Planning & Coordination
  • Assist in the planning and execution of webinars, roundtables, roadshows, conferences, partner events, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including venue bookings, registrations, attendee communications, and supplier management.
  • Support the development and distribution of event invitations, email campaigns, and promotional materials.
  • Manage event calendars and ensure milestones and deadlines are met.

Marketing Campaign Support
  • Assist in the creation and deployment of email marketing campaigns.
  • Support social media promotion for events across relevant channels.
  • Update and maintain event landing pages and registration portals.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure campaign and event messaging is aligned.
Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
  • Communicate with customers, accountants, partners, speakers, and vendors regarding event participation.
  • Assist with attendee registration management and event enquiries.
  • Coordinate speaker requirements and event presentation materials.

Event Execution
  • Provide on-site or virtual event support during webinars, roadshows, roundtables, and conferences.
  • Manage attendee registration and event check-in processes.
  • Ensure a positive attendee experience before, during, and after events.
Reporting & Administration
  • Track event registrations, attendance, and engagement metrics.
  • Compile post-event reports, feedback summaries, and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate event records and databases.
  • Assist with budget tracking and processing of event-related purchase orders and invoices.
What will make me successful
  • A grade 12 matric certificate
  • You must have a degree or a national diploma qualification in Marketing Management / Communications / Business Management / Public Relations or a related field
  • You must have basic computer skills – Microsoft office
  • Previous experience coordinating university or community events is an added advantage
  • Must have a Clear Criminal record
  • You must be currently unemployed
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • Customer-focused mindset
