Marketing & Business Developement Executive

Introduction

To grow the eatery's corporate client base across Roodepoort and Randburg by proactively sourcing new business, building strong relationships with corporate decision-makers, and promoting our catering services for office lunches, meetings, functions and events.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify, research and source new corporate clients in Roodepoort, Randburg and surrounding areas suited to our catering offering.
  • Conduct regular in-person visits to corporate offices, businesses and decision-makers to introduce and promote the eatery and its catering services.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with office managers, HR, procurement and other key contacts at client businesses.
  • Actively promote catering packages for daily office lunches, meetings, functions, corporate events and special occasions.
  • Develop and manage a structured pipeline of prospective clients, tracking leads from first contact through to signed business.
  • Prepare and present tailored catering proposals, menus and quotes to match client needs and budgets.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms and service agreements with corporate clients, in line with company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of client visits, leads, quotes and sales activity.
  • Liaise closely with the kitchen and operations team to ensure catering orders are delivered on time and to the standard promised to clients.
  • Represent the brand professionally at client meetings, site visits and relevant networking or business events.
  • Keep track of competitor catering offerings and local market trends to identify new opportunities.
  • Report regularly to management on sales activity, pipeline status and performance against targets.
  • Manage client feedback and after-sales relationships to encourage repeat and referral business.

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • Matric certificate is essential; a marketing, sales or business-related qualification is advantageous.
  • Minimum 2 years' proven experience in B2B sales, marketing or business development (experience in hospitality, catering, food service or FMCG is advantageous).
  • Own reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license essential, as the role requires regular travel to client sites in Roodepoort and Randburg.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong relationship-building, networking and negotiation ability.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven and comfortable working independently in the field.
  • Well-presented, professional and confident engaging with senior corporate contacts.
  • Based in, or within easy reach of, the Roodepoort/Randburg area.
  • Competent with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and correspondence.
  • An existing network of corporate contacts in the Roodepoort/Randburg area is a strong advantage.

Package & Remuneration

Market-related basic salary plus commission on new catering and corporate business secured .  Fuel, Travel and Cellphone Allowance.
