Logistics Assistant – Student Position
**Logistics Internship: Export Table Grapes** **About the Role** This is a unique opportunity for driven students to gain hands-on, practical experience across the full export table grape supply chain. Based in Stellenbosch, this internship places you at the heart of a fast-paced, commercially driven operation during one of the most critical periods in the agricultural export calendar. From quality control and packhouse operations through to logistics coordination and international export procedures, this role offers invaluable industry exposure and the chance to apply your academic knowledge in a dynamic, real-world environment. Candidates must be willing to travel to the Northern Cape as required during the contract period. **Contract Period:** November 2026 to January 2027 **Responsibilities** - Supporting day-to-day operations within the grape packhouse environment - Assisting with quality control procedures to ensure produce meets export standards - Coordinating and monitoring logistics activities across the supply chain - Assisting with the preparation and management of export documentation - Liaising with relevant stakeholders including packhouse staff, logistics providers, and export teams - Tracking shipments and ensuring timely dispatch of consignments - Identifying and escalating supply chain inefficiencies or quality issues - Providing general administrative and operational support to the logistics and export team **Requirements** - Currently enrolled as a 2nd year student or above in a relevant tertiary qualification - Field of study must include one of the following: BCom Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Agricultural Economics - Strong interest in agri-export, supply chain operations, or international trade - Willingness to travel to the Northern Cape when required - Ability to work in a fast-paced, seasonal environment with tight deadlines - Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented attitude - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team - A valid driver's licence would be advantageous **What You'll Gain** - Practical, hands-on experience within a live export supply chain operation - Exposure to international trade documentation and export compliance processes - Understanding of quality control standards within the fresh produce industry - Professional mentorship and real-world application of supply chain principles - A meaningful addition to your CV within a specialised and growing agricultural export sector **Application Details** - **Closing Date:** 11 October 2026 - **Location:** Stellenbosch (with travel to the Northern Cape as required) - **Work Type:** In-person, contract position
