Role Overview

Join us as a Legal Assistant and play a key role in supporting attorneys and paralegals in a fast-paced legal environment. In this position, you will contribute to the preparation of legal documents, coordinate critical schedules, and help ensure deadlines are consistently met. Your ability to stay organized, communicate effectively, and navigate legal systems will directly impact case progress and team efficiency.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST (USA)

Your Responsibilities Will Include but Are Not Limited To:

  • Filing documents within court systems following established procedures
  • Managing calendaring and performing date calculations to ensure compliance
  • Scheduling appointments, hearings, and deadlines
  • Preparing initial drafts of discovery requests and client communications
  • Reviewing, proofreading, and finalizing legal documents for accuracy
  • Preparing legal forms and documentation
  • Supporting attorneys with daily legal tasks and case-related activities
What We’re Looking For:
  • At least one year of experience as a legal assistant, or in a legal support role and/or related Bachelor's degree in legal studies.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Research and analytical thinking capabilities
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to legal software
  • Problem-solving mindset with resourcefulness
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach

  • Prior experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal
  • Civil Litigation knowledge or experience preferred
  • Ability to draft discovery requests and client communications
  • Strong calendaring and deadline management skills
  • Experience reviewing, proofreading, and filing legal documents
  • Reliable computer setup (laptop/PC, headset, stable internet min. 10 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload)
  • Quiet, distraction-free remote work environment
