We are a UK-based legal practice working on residential conveyancing matters and are looking to hire an experienced offshore Conveyancing Assistant based in India to support UK conveyancing files under supervision.

This is a long‑term remote opportunity for someone with hands‑on experience of the UK conveyancing process and strong attention to detail.

Role Overview

You will work closely with a UK-qualified conveyancer and assist with day‑to‑day progression of residential conveyancing matters. This is a support role only and does not involve providing legal advice or signing off work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Opening new conveyancing files and maintaining file records
  • Drafting standard conveyancing correspondence and emails
  • Preparing and issuing draft contracts and supporting documents
  • Assisting with title review and reporting (under supervision)
  • Ordering searches and following up with search providers
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents and lenders by email
  • Managing enquiries and collating replies
  • Preparing completion statements and basic financial breakdowns
  • Updating case management systems and trackers
  • Chasing outstanding documents and maintaining timelines
  • Supporting exchange and completion preparation tasks

Essential Experience and Knowledge

  • Minimum 2 years experience working on UK residential conveyancing files
  • Strong understanding of the UK conveyancing process including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, searches and enquiries, mortgage lender requirements, exchange and completion stages
  • Experience working with UK law firms or conveyancers
  • Familiarity with UK conveyancing terminology and documentation
  • Excellent written English and professional email communication
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and meet deadlines
  • Experience working remotely with UK time zone overlap
  • Experience with UK case management systems
  • Knowledge of Land Registry forms and post‑completion basics
  • Prior offshore support role for UK firms
  • Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously

Working Arrangement

  • Remote role based in India
  • Daily overlap with UK working hours required
  • Structured tasks and clear supervision provided
  • Initial training and probation period

Remuneration

Competitive monthly remuneration based on experience and skill level. Indicative range: INR 40,000 to 70,000 per month.

Performance-Based Incentive

  • One fully sponsored international trip per year to Dubai, Malaysia, Thailand or Qatar, subject to consistent high performance and meeting agreed KPIs
