Junior QA Software Tester

We are looking for a motivated Junior QA Software Tester to join our Product team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem solving, has a keen eye for detail, and wants to work alongside experienced software engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

As part of our team, you will gain exposure to software testing best practices, automation, agile development, and enterprise software products while contributing to the delivery of reliable, high-performing applications.

What You'll Do

Your responsibilities will include

  • Execute functional, integration and regression testing
  • Design and document detailed test cases and test plans
  • Record, analyse and report software defects
  • Perform manual testing and assist with automated testing
  • Maintain testing environments and QA tools
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Developers and other stakeholders to ensure software quality
  • Assist with troubleshooting and reproducing software issues
  • Provide third-line product support when required
  • Participate in continuous improvement of QA processes
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have:

Essential

  • Qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Development or an ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) would be required
  • Basic understanding of software testing principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team
  • Willingness to learn and continuously develop technical skills
Advantageous
  • Exposure to software testing or QA methodologies
  • Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps or similar)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL
  • Exposure to test automation tools
  • Understanding of Agile software development
