Junior Accountant - Mining - R - R250K

Hire Resolve's esteemed client, a prominent player in the mining industry, is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level accounting professional to gain experience in the mining sector and contribute to the financial operations of a well-established company.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of balance sheets and bank accounts
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Support senior accountants in financial analysis and decision-making processes
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal policies
  • Assist with ad-hoc accounting projects as assigned
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 4-6 years of accounting experience, preferably in the mining industry
  • Familiarity with mining-specific accounting principles and regulations
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
