About the role

DDC Coolmakers & Powerbuilders Corporation is seeking an experienced IT Tech Support professional to join our team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure and supporting our employees across all departments. As IT Tech Support, you will be the frontline technical resource, providing timely solutions to IT-related issues and contributing to the overall efficiency and productivity of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person assistance

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network connectivity issues

  • Install, configure and maintain computer systems, peripherals and software applications

  • Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls across company systems

  • Perform regular system maintenance, updates and patches to ensure optimal performance

  • Document technical issues, resolutions and maintain accurate support tickets

  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on software applications and IT best practices

  • Monitor system performance and identify potential issues before they impact operations

  • Assist with IT infrastructure projects and deployments as required

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company security policies and procedures


What we're looking for

  • High school diploma or vocational qualification in Information Technology or related field; relevant certification (CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent) is preferred

  • Proven experience of 2-4 years in IT support, help desk or technical support role

  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows and/or Mac operating systems

  • Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting, including desktops, laptops, printers and peripheral devices

  • Understanding of networking concepts and ability to troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues

  • Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work methodically through complex issues

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms to non-technical users

  • Customer-focused approach with patience and professionalism when dealing with end-users

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple support requests effectively

  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation

  • Knowledge of IT security best practices and data protection principles is advantageous
