About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Information Security Officer to lead security initiatives for their operations based out of Welkom . This strategic role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive information security programs that protect the organization's data and systems. You will oversee risk management, ensure regulatory compliance, and guide the security team in responding to threats. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices, and the ability to translate complex security concepts into actionable strategies. This is a key position within the organization, driving security excellence and fostering a culture of security awareness.

Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's information security strategy and policies. Oversee the management of cybersecurity risks, including identification, assessment, and mitigation. Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards. Lead and manage the information security team, providing guidance and mentorship. Direct incident response efforts, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security breaches. Collaborate with executive leadership and department heads to promote security best practices. Requirements Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 10+ years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role. Proven experience in developing and implementing enterprise-wide security programs. Expertise in risk management , compliance, and security governance. Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, threats, and countermeasures. Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
