Global Tutors is an international online tutoring company connecting exceptional educators with students and adult learners around the world.

We are currently seeking highly experienced English proficiency exam specialists, including former or current examiners, assessors, moderators, and senior preparation tutors for:

  • IELTS
  • PTE Academic
  • TOEFL iBT
  • Duolingo English Test
  • OET (Occupational English Test)
  • Academic Writing & University Preparation
  • Business English

We are specifically looking for professionals with direct examination, marking, moderation, or advanced exam preparation experience.

As a specialist tutor/exam preparation consultant, you will:

  • Deliver high-level 1:1 online lessons
  • Prepare students for international English proficiency examinations
  • Teach advanced exam strategy, timing, writing structure, speaking fluency, and score improvement techniques
  • Conduct mock examinations and provide detailed feedback
  • Support students applying for universities, immigration, healthcare registration, and professional opportunities abroad
  • Help learners improve academic and professional English communication

Important Notes

Tutors join Global Tutors as independent consultants/contractors and not employees. This allows tutors the flexibility to manage their own schedules, availability, and teaching approach while working with students internationally.

Ideal candidates may include:

  • Current or former IELTS examiners
  • Former Cambridge English assessors
  • Experienced PTE or TOEFL preparation specialists
  • OET trainers with healthcare English expertise
  • Academic English lecturers or university pathway educators
  • English language professionals with extensive exam preparation success
  • Senior Business English trainers working with professionals or corporate clients

Applicants should ideally have:

  • Examiner, assessor, moderator, or official exam preparation experience
  • Strong knowledge of exam marking criteria and scoring systems
  • TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, Linguistics, Education, or related qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching, examining, or tutoring experience
  • Proven track record helping students achieve target scores
  • Excellent communication and online teaching skills
  • Experience teaching adult learners internationally
