ICT Graduate Work Experience Programme (CHE)

Job description

The Council on Higher Education (CHE) is offering an opportunity for an unemployed graduate or final-year student to gain practical workplace experience within the ICT Directorate. The placement is intended to provide meaningful exposure to the ICT environment and develop practical technical, digital, problem-solving and workplace skills that can strengthen the participant's CV and employability. 

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist withICT support and respond to routine technical queries from staff.
• Assist with troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity and other basic ICT-related issues.
• Support the setup, maintenance and administration of ICT equipment and systems.
• Assist with data management, system administration and ICT-related projects.
• Maintain accurate records of ICT requests, equipment and activities.
• Collaborate with CHE staff to support the effective use of digital tools and technology.

 

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Final-year student or graduate with a qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, networks and information systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new technologies and systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Requirements:
