This is an integrated role combining strategic HR business partnering with responsibility for Learning & Development and organisational capability building. The successful candidate will partner with senior and line management across the business while driving learning, leadership development, performance, engagement and broader People initiatives aligned with business requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES HR Business Partnering (80%) Act as a trusted People advisor to senior and line management. Translate business and workforce requirements into practical People and capability plans. Support workforce planning, organisational effectiveness, job design and organisational change. Drive performance management processes, including objective setting, performance conversations, feedback and performance improvement. Support leadership and manager development initiatives. Drive employee engagement, culture, inclusion and employee experience initiatives. Advise management on employee relations, disciplinary and grievance processes, workplace conflict, incapacity and labour legislation. Use People analytics, dashboards and trend analysis to provide meaningful insights and recommendations. Support People projects, change programmes and capability initiatives. Ensure effective People service delivery, accurate HR records and sound governance. Learning & Development (20%) Implement the organisation’s Learning & Development strategy in alignment with business and People priorities. Conduct learning needs analyses and identify employee, team, functional and leadership capability requirements. Design, source and implement blended learning solutions, including classroom, digital and on-the-job learning, coaching, mentoring and manager toolkits. Coordinate leadership, functional and technical development initiatives. Support skills development, including training records, Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) inputs. Support SETA requirements, Employment Equity-aligned development priorities and relevant learning evidence. Manage learning providers, facilitators and other external development partners. Monitor learning budgets, training activities and programme effectiveness. Use learning analytics and feedback to evaluate impact and continuously improve development initiatives. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7) in Human Resources, Industrial\/Organisational Psychology, Human Resource Development, Education, Business, Management Sciences or a related field. Up to 8 years’ progressive HR \/ People experience, preferably incorporating both HR Business Partnering and Learning & Development responsibilities. Proven experience in: Learning needs analysis and development solution design. Leadership and manager development. Performance management. Employee engagement and employee relations. Skills development and training governance. Managing training providers and learning budgets. People projects and external vendors. HR and learning analytics\/reporting. Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation, including the LRA, BCEA, Employment Equity Act, Skills Development Act and POPIA. Knowledge of SETA processes, WSP\/ATR, BBBEE learning evidence and training governance. Experience with HR systems, Learning Management Systems, digital learning platforms and Microsoft 365.
