A friendly, busy family based in Farnham, Surrey is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented part time housekeeper to help keep their home clean, organised, and running smoothly. This live-out housekeeping role near Farnham is well-suited to someone who enjoys supporting a family and takes pride in their work.

The family is seeking someone who uses their initiative, understands how to create systems that keep the home in order, and is happy to take on a variety of housekeeping tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily housekeeping and general upkeep, including a reset of rooms used that day
  • Laundry care: washing, drying, folding, putting away clothes, and maintaining tidy wardrobes and cupboards
  • One daily deep clean or organisation task (e.g. toy rotation, storage tidy, or decluttering project)
  • One cooking or baking job per day (e.g. muffins, a family meal prep, or batch cooking)
  • Occasional household support such as coordinating minor maintenance (e.g. arranging appliance repairs in conjunction with mum)
  • Ongoing cupboard and toy organisation, helping maintain systems and order
  • Proactive communication and a positive attitude - the family values someone who feels like part of the team

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a private housekeeping role, ideally in a busy family home
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to take initiative without being micro-managed
  • Discreet, respectful, and reliable
  • Good understanding of home care, laundry, and simple home cooking or baking
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to \'muck in\' and do what\'s needed each day
  • Must live within a reasonable commute to Farnham, Surrey
  • Right to work in the UK and excellent references
