Job brief As Host/Hostess, you are the first impression and lasting memory of Workshop17 The Bank. From greeting members by name to ensuring meeting rooms are perfectly set up, you bring energy, attention to detail, and a passion for people into everything you do.

You are organised, proactive, solutions-focused, and always one step ahead. No task is too small when it comes to delivering a 5-star experience.

General scope of work Reception & Hosting

  • Manage the reception area and all front-of-house responsibilities.
  • Deliver a professional and welcoming experience to all members and guests.
  • Serve as the first point of contact and direct visitors appropriately.
  • Maintain a polished and organised front desk environment at all times.
Community Management Support
  • Assist with member onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Conduct walkthroughs and daily space checks.
  • Support parking requests and member access queries.
  • Guide members in using the my.w17 community platform.
  • Manage, resolve, or escalate member queries timeously.
  • Coordinate office customisation requirements (welcome packs, office setup, vinyl branding, etc).
  • Support community engagement initiatives and member events.
  • Manage ‘pre-paid’ membership top-ups.
Financial Administration
  • Update daily payment tracking sheets accurately.
  • Assist the team with following up on any debtors.
  • Assist with raising purchase orders and invoices.
  • Capture leads, sales data, and relevant system updates.
Operations and Facilities Support
  • Assist with general facilities management and maintenance coordination.
  • Log maintenance issues and ensure resolution.
  • Monitor space cleanliness and room setups daily
  • Manage stock levels of consumables and stationery.
Events & Meeting Room Support
  • Manage meeting room bookings for members and external clients.
  • Support the coordination of on-site events, including catering, AV/IT requirements, and room layouts.
  • Ensure meeting rooms are set up according to client specifications.
Client Experience
  • Deliver consistent 5-star service to members and guests.
  • Provide proactive solutions and exceed client expectations.
  • Respond to all queries in a timely and professional manner.
Team Support
  • Provide general support to the location team.
  • Assist across departments when required.
  • Ensure scheduled and ad-hoc tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
Experience
  • 2–3 years’ experience in hospitality, front-of-house, customer service, or a similar service-driven role.
  • Experience in coworking, boutique hotels, events, or premium hospitality environments is advantageous.
  • Exposure to administrative or basic financial processes is beneficial.
