Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Hospitality General Manager for a luxury safari camp based in the Phalaborwa area. This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior hospitality professional with a strong background in luxury safari operations, guest experience, and team leadership.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the smooth and efficient operation of the camp, ensuring world-class service delivery, exceptional guest experiences, and high operational standards across all departments. This role requires a proactive, hands-on leader with a passion for luxury hospitality and personalised service.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the luxury safari campLead and coordinate all hospitality departments to ensure seamless guest experiencesEnsure the highest standards of service, presentation, and operational excellenceManage and mentor department heads and camp teamsMonitor guest feedback and implement improvements where requiredEnsure effective stock control, budgeting, cost management, and financial performanceOversee beverage, curio, and operational revenue targetsMaintain excellent standards across housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest areasEnsure compliance with health, safety, security, and company standardsManage guest relations and handle special requests with professionalism and discretionDrive staff development, training, and performance managementWork closely with senior management to implement operational strategies and improvements

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or similar qualificationExtensive experience within luxury safari lodge or camp operationsPrevious senior management experience within a luxury 4 or 5-star safari propertyStrong leadership and organisational skillsExcellent financial and operational management abilitiesStrong understanding of luxury hospitality service standardsProficient in property management systems and Microsoft OfficeExceptional communication and guest relations skillsAbility to work well under pressure in a remote environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence

Package:

Salary: R30,000 – R35,000 depending on experienceLive-in position
