About the role (What you’ll be doing)

Our Juniper UK health coaching team is expanding and we are on the lookout for Dietitians to help us serve our patients on a 6 month fixed term contract initially. You will be part of our fast-growing team in South Africa and will work directly with our team to serve Juniper patients in the UK.

You'll be supporting our patients alongside Health Coaches in London (UK), with a shift of 9am to 6pm SAST. As a Dietitian, you'll combine evidence-based nutrition expertise with behaviour change coaching, helping patients build sustainable habits and achieve long-term weight loss success. You'll also play a key role in shaping our clinical guidance and nutrition strategy to ensure we're delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. In short, the role includes:

  • Supporting patients through async in-app chat, 1:1 calls, and group coaching sessions (with a focus on obesity management)
  • Directing patients queries and feedback to relevant internal channels
  • Working in a cross functional and multidisciplinary team to triage, respond and escalate communications from patients to relevant teams to minimise patient safety risks

In this role you will work with our clinical team, international operations team and delivery partners to ensure our patients receive a high quality of support and care. This role requires a high level of empathy, the ability to prioritise simultaneous activities and communications with multiple patients while ensuring high attention to detail, and a patient-centric-oriented approach. You will be interacting directly with real people dealing with real health issues and medical diagnoses, and must be able to identify, respond to, and escalate interactions and situations appropriately in accordance with guidelines and for exceptions. This role will be important to the continued success of Eucalyptus and will filter important information back through the rest of the team so we can continue to improve the health of our patients.

About you (Who you are)

  • Dietitian specific: Registered Dietitian (registered with HCPSA: Health Professions Council of South Africa), 1+ years of dietetics experience and completion of relevant ongoing CPD requirements.
  • Naturally empathetic, reliable, caring, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Extremely organised, independent and can work well in a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Confident using technology and excited by fast-paced change and creative problem solving
  • Experience with behaviour change techniques aimed at helping patients achieve weight loss goals.
  • Goes without saying - you're obsessive about patient experience and thrive on understanding a patient’s problems and finding the best solution
  • Bonus points for
    • Full professional proficiency in Spanish as we aim to also scale a team to service our members in Spain
    • Previous experience working in digital health (tele-health)
    • Qualifications in exercise science or experience working with patients to improve their physical activity levels
    • Experience working in a very fast paced environment
